Minirig and Ableton Link

Stow-Lab were delighted to partner with Minirig on an outdoor electronic music jam, powered by Ableton Link.

Electronic musicians spend far too much time sorting out cables - power cables, usb cables, midi cables, audio cables, FireWire cables.... the list goes on. Cut them free of some of the spaghetti and they flourish. That’s what happened at the Hare & Hounds in Walthamstow back in September. Minirig supplied the battery powered speakers, and Ableton Link supplied the clock sync for a battery jam session. From then on it was improvised beats, blips, bleeps, sweeping pads and basslines. The subs did their work admirably so that no low end was lost and the compact but powerful speakers sounded great.
