Minirig Review - Technology Tell

 Despite market saturation, portable Bluetooth speakers are still a big deal. If you’ve been waiting for a speaker that packs power, portability, and days worth of audio playback, British speaker design company, Minirig, has just launched their latest. This new version of the Minirig speaker has been upgraded for 2015, replacing the original that started it all three years ago.

Although similar in size to a juicy apple, the Minirig features big sound, aptX Bluetooth, more bass, world-class battery life, stereo pairing, mobile app control, and it can also charge your smartphone! All this is wrapped inside a stylish, anodized aluminum exterior that comes in silver, black, red, yellow, purple, blue, and green.

The big attraction to this latest Minirig speaker is the 50-hour playback time. Even 25 hours is substantially impressive, but team decided to push above and beyond to deliver twice that amount! This is the kind of speaker to keep the party going while you’ve already passed out from sheer exhaustion from trying to keep up.

Those who want more sound can pair another Minirig speaker or a Minirig subwoofer in 2.1 stereo or dual mono modes. The free mobile app (currently Android with iOS in the works) sets this up with a few quick taps as well as providing media and gain controls. There’s even a battery level indicator so you’ll never be left guessing as to when the Minirig speaker needs to recharge.
