The perfect gift
Minirigs were used to play the sound collage in this project using everyday recordings.
The installation was a continuous project made of several components/elements which during the course of the show were altered daily.
Materials included- Rubber British Coat of Arms / clear plastic sheeting / urinal blocks / stainless steel bowl / powdered blood in bucket / magnetic prints / polyurethane foam bones / quilted protective blanket / 30kg tallow / collapsable dog bowl / apothecary empty gelatine capsules / bovine serum albumin / body building supplements / octagon rashguard leggings and balaclava / styrofoam polish eagle / Sigma Pseudo™ drowned victim scent / lead knuckle bone / metal wire / duct tape / plastic sheeting / fibreglass heads .
The soundscape is titled 'Futile struggles' and is a sound collage created through sampling everyday recordings, sound bites snagged through online sites and private forums.
