The Adventurists are in their own words "Fighting to make the world less boring" and raising money for charity in the process.
 
One of their adventures, The Mongol Rally 2017 is currently underway. The teams will travel 10,000 miles across the mountains, desert and steppe of Europe and Asia. There’s no backup, no support and no set route; just you, your fellow adventurists and a tiny car you bought from a scrapyard. Welcome to the Mongol Rally: the greatest motoring adventure on the planet. The rules of the Rally are gloriously simple…
 
1. You can only take a farcically small vehicle
2. You’re completely on your own
3. You've got to raise £1000 for charity
 
All the teams are raising money for the Adventurists' official charity partner, Cool Earth. Cool Earth is the charity that works alongside indigenous villages to halt rainforest destruction.
The only way to halt destruction is to align the future of the rainforest with the people best placed to protect it. This means placing forest in the hands of the people who rely on its survival for their survival.
Cool Earth does just that.
 
The team that raised the most for Cool Earth in the lead up to the event were "Driven to Distraction"...so they won themselves a Minirig!
They describe themselves as "Two middle-aged blokes. Charlie is a risk consultant and Jonathan is an Asian Art dealer. ."
